Berberine is an alkaloid present in a number of plants, including barberry, tree turmeric, Oregon grape, and goldenseal. Its history dates back 3 000 years when it used in traditional Chinese and Indian Ayurvedic medicine. This is because Berberine is one of the few compounds known to activate AMPK which is an enzyme inside your body’s cells. I’ve only just started taking Berberine, because I’ve been diagnosed with Diabetes & do not wish to take the recommended drug! So hoping this will be preferable. I always use Nature v drugs & am very satisfied so far with all the supplements I order from you. Excellent service & staff, thank you.
I first started taking it as I'm in menopause and my system seemed to be a slug bucket, and I was gaining weight just looking at food, my food used to just sit in my stomach not moving. Started taking Bio-Berberine and that fixed the feeling of a full stomach all the time, and I've stopped gaining weight. 2 years in a row my blood work came back as pre-diabetic, after starting on the Bio-Berbrine my latest blood work came back with normal levels, so I'm no longer pre-diabetic. I definitely recommend this product 100%, I feel all round so much better, with far more energy and life.
